SketchUp + Thea Render
This build allowed for testing on several things. The first was the construction of the window lead frames between the panes of coloured glass so that it would appear just as real from the outside as from the interior.
Secondly, testing God Rays in Thea, projecting light in volumetric settings that turned out well here.
This window, a work of art in the real world, constructed by a artisan studio (Judson Studios, Pasadena CA) comes to my attention directly via architect, Steven Schloeder. Thank you Steven. What a pleasure to get to know this piece better.
Steven's design of the church that has this window can be appreciated here http://maricopacatholic.org/newchurch/default.html
