This album exhibits the step-by-step advances in constructing the Salon scene. During demolition of the Rivendell Mill, while removing the layers of "plaster" from the stone walls, an arch was discovered that had been filled by the original mill. This discovery changed the estimated age of the original structure 2 to 300 years older than originally presumed. Amazingly, this arch in the old wall corresponded perfectly to the plans of the salon/living room and effectively changed our approach to the renovation of project. To reveal or keep the arch exposed, we now removed all of the plaster on the entire mill with the decision to remove all rock joints, clean and replace the joints and expose the beautiful structure original walls. This decision also made an astounding delay in the schedule as it took a year and a half of work before the walls were completed. Despite the delay, the decision was good as it defined the new signature of the renovation from the ground up. For the 3D model up
